Joanna qualified with a BDS from Glasgow University. Before embarking on her dental career she had considered a career as a biomedical scientist and completed a BSc (Hons) in biomedical science. This wasn’t for her and a desire to see and treat a patient with literal hands on experience led her to dentistry.
Family took her to Glasgow as her sister was already there.
After completing 5 years she went to work in the Outer Hebrides which afforded her considerable experience in all aspects of dentistry from oral surgery to tooth whitening, and this has led her to her strong commitment to the NHS and all ranges of treatment. In her spare time Joanna is embarking on a diploma in nutrition, has many hens, dogs and more recently bees.
